Hornsea beach has retained its Blue Flag status, an international award measured by 32 strict standards.
Hornsea is among just four Yorkshire winners of the Blue Flag, along with Scarborough North Bay, Withernsea and Whitby.
The Blue Flag award is a recognition of the quality of the beach and water.
Hornsea Mayor Councillor Lee Walton said: "When you look up and down the coast, there are not that many Blue Flag beaches, so it does help differentiate us. Any small advantage we can gain is welcome. Hornsea's beaches are beautiful and they do attract many people to the town.... It's always nice to have the Blue Flag because it is recognised all over the country. If you have that, people know you have decent, clean swimming water."
